Tom Lang

Originally from Iowa, Tom earned his B.A. degree in Art Education and Drawing at Iowa State University. He continued his studies in the graduate program at F.S.U., receiving his M.F.A. in Painting in 1989. While in Tallahassee, Tom began working as a graphic artist where he could make use of his design and illustration abilities. He worked at a graphic design company, then at the Department of Agriculture, and finally at the Department of Natural Resources--as a graphic designer and illustrator.

Tom moved to Jacksonville, Florida in 1990, soon after marrying fellow graduate student, Linda. They began decorative painting and producing murals, and eventually formed a business partnership. Maintaining an enthusiasm for comic books, Tom still does illustrations but is most celebrated for his beautifully detailed drawings.
